Actress Janhvi Kapoor has always spoken fondly about her late mother Sridevi. Even years after Sridevi’s passing away, Janhvi does get teary-eyed whenever she remembers her mother. And now as reported by People’s Magazine, the Bawaal actress is all set to give people a glimpse into the house that her late mother Sridevi had set up in Chennai, which was also Janhvi’s childhood home. According to the report, Airbnb has listed the mansion in the 11 icons properties list and it can now be rented by people.

While only select Airbnb users will get a chance to live in that Chennai mansion, the one-night stay will also include guests conversing with Janhvi about her beauty hacks and they will also get to taste some authentic South Indian food.
For those who don’t know, this Chennai mansion was the first ever house that the late Sridevi bought after she got married to producer Boney Kapoor. Even though the house comprised artifacts and paintings from across the world, the family had to shut down the house due to leakage and maintenance issues. But after Sridevi’s demise, Boney Kapoor got the house renovated and in 2022 Janhvi Kapoor’s childhood home was featured in Vogue India too.
Reportedly, this mansion includes Boney Kapoor’s Chennai office, a plush living room that comprises one of Sridevi’s first paintings. There is also a secret room and a wall full of old family pictures, the TV room also has paintings made by Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor during the lockdown. So, anyone who rents the mansion will get to witness all of this.
Janhvi said in an interview to Vogue, “I’ll take you on a private tour of our coastal home as I reminisce on summers spent with my family. We’ll enjoy some much-deserved relaxation as I show you my all-natural skincare routine that I learned from my mum (hello homemade honey face mask and oils made from hibiscus flower). Who knows, I might just spill my top Bollywood beauty secrets. You’ll enjoy a wonderful dinner of some of my favourite South Indian dishes like Ghee Podi Rice, Andhra Biryani, Pesarattu Dosa, and Palkova.”
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in Mr & Mrs Mahi which is slated to release on 31st May and she is also set to make her Telugu debut with Devara: Part 1 which also stars Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. Another project Janhvi will be a part of is called Ulajh.
