The re-release of Ghilli, which has been breaking box office records of recent releases, has rejuvenated Trisha fans. As the actor was shooting for her upcoming Malayalam film Identity in a small village in Erode, her fans flocked to the sets.
A video of fans gathered around her caravan and Trisha waving at them has gone viral among her fans.

Directed by Anas Khan and Akhil Paul, Identity has Malayalam star Tovino Thomas in the lead role.
After acting in one of the most memorable Tamil rom-coms, 96, Trisha faced a lull period in her career. Though she acted in Rajinikanth’s Petta, which was her only film in 2019, the actor had only a few minutes of screen time in the film. Paramapadham Villaiyattu was her only release in the next two years. Then came Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 1, which changed things for the actor.
Initially, her casting as Chola princess Kundhavai was met with skepticism, but she turned out to be a favorite. She then teamed up with Vijay in Leo after a gap of 15 years, making it one of the highlights of the film. Now, the actor is very much back in the game with some of the biggest films in her line-up.
Other than Identity, she is part of Chiranjeevi’s Telugu fantasy film Viswambara, Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, Mohanlal’s Ram, and Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi.
Currently, Trisha is basking in the success of the re-release of Ghilli. About the film’s success, the actor tweeted, “If this is not coming full circle I don’t know what is Woke up to FDFS BLOCKBUSTER vibes AGAIN.” The movie earned more than Rs 10 crore on the first day of its re-release, which is higher than many recent Tamil films including Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam.
