Telugu actor Ravi Teja, on Friday, announced that his upcoming film Eagle’s release has been postponed to February 9. The movie, which was earlier going to release on January 13, would have clashed with four other Telugu films. The actor called the decision to delay the release a step for “welfare of Telugu cinema”.

Ravi took to social media and wrote, “Taking a step back for the welfare of our Telugu Cinema.A little change in the arrival not in the shot & target.#EAGLE from February 9th,2024. Wishing the very best to all the films releasing this Sankranthi.”

Ravi Teja’s Eagle, if released on the earlier decided date, would have clashed with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Venkatesh Daggubati’s Saindhav, Nagarajuna’s Naa Saami Ranga and Prashanth Varma’s Hanu Man.

Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram is the most awaited film for the Telugu audience, as it brings the actor back on the silver screen after two years. His partnership with director Trivikram after Khalej and Athadu, also adds to the audience’s anticipation. The film is set to release on January 12.

Eagle, directed by Karthik Gattemneni, also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Navdeep and Kavya Thapar. The film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla.
