Though Jyotika made her comeback after a long hiatus in 2015 with 36 Vayathinile, there’s something different about the actress now. It could be her increased social media presence or her recent interviews where she has become more vocal about her professional and personal lives. In a rapid-fire segment on the YouTube channel Galatta India, the actress was asked about her husband Suriya, and her co-stars Rajinikanth, Vijay, and Mammootty. The actress had a lot of fun answering them, however, the highlight of the session turned out to be her bold answer to the question: ‘With whom she wants to act in Tamil next?’

Ever since she returned to acting with 36 Vayathinile, Jyotika has been mostly doing films featuring her in the protagonist roles. Magalir Mattum, Naachiyaar, Kaatrin Mozhi, Raatchasi, Jackpot, and Ponmagal Vandhal are some of her film, which had the actress in the lead role. Naturally, when she was asked which hero she was looking forward to working with in Tamil, Jyotika said, “I am holding my films alone for a long time. I don’t think… I need a hero.”

However, the actress admitted that she would like to do a good film with her husband Suriya in Hindi. “If something really good comes up, I would like to one with Suriya,” she said.

The actress was then asked to reveal one good thing about Suriya and an annoying thing that she tolerates about him. She said, “What I love about him is that he gives me a lot of respect and space. What I tolerate is maybe his bathroom timings. He is always in the bathroom for a long time. It’s a fight in the morning.”

She added, “I think he loves the friendship we have, and as far as what he tolerates in me, it will be a list. He should be tolerating a lot. He is the listener and I am the one who talks. So, maybe he really tolerates a lot.”

Jyotika is one of the few actresses who has acted alongside all the superstars of Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industries. Having worked with them, the seasoned actress revealed a good quality in some of the stars. About Mammootty, she said, “I love this whole phase he is in, where he is giving back to cinema as an actor. Oh my God!” About Rajinikanth and Vijay, Jyotika chose the words, ‘superstardom’ and ‘consistency’, respectively.

On the work front, Jyotika is currently busy promoting her latest release Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn and Madhavan. The film follows the story of a family, which gets tortured by a black magician, who abducts girls for human sacrifice. Jyotika will return with films Srikanth and DabbaCartel
