After the premiere episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor, comedian Kapil Sharma has unveiled a sneak peek into the upcoming second episode. This time, the spotlight falls on cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer, who promise to infuse the show with their playful banter and unheard anecdotes.
The promotional clip kicks off with Krushna Abhishek, as an airhostess, indulging in some light-hearted flirting with the two cricket stars. Rohit takes a jovial dig at his fellow teammates, labeling them as ‘sust murge’ (lazy chickens), while Shreyas shares amusing tales of facing the heat from senior players. “We get bashed so much, but when we take a wicket…” he begins, only to be hilariously interrupted by Rohit, who quips, “He is talking about me.”
The teaser further showcases the cricketers engaging in a game of cricket with Kapil and his team. Adding to the humour, Kapil dons the persona of former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, a nod to his previous shows, Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. Navjot was a permanent guest on Kapil’s previous shows before getting replaced by Archana Puran Singh.
In the previous episode, the Kapoor family members shared light-hearted moments with Kapil Sharma. From Ranbir Kapoor reminiscing about the one time his father, the late actor Rishi Kapoor, disciplined him, to Neetu Kapoor recalling Ranbir’s habit of gifting her jewellery to his girlfriends, and Riddhima and Ranbir recalling their childhood squabbles, the episode was filled with heartwarming moments.
The Great Indian Kapil Show also marks the return of Sunil Grover, reuniting with Kapil after their 2017 fallout. The ensemble cast also includes Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, and Krushna Abhishek.
