Film distributor and SS Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya has gotten the attention of Ram Charan fans with his new tweet about the Telugu star’s upcoming collaboration with director Sukumar. Karthikeya revealed that the film was in the making even while Ram Charan was shooting for RRR. He hyped up the opening scene of the film and claimed it would become one of the iconic sequences.
Ram Charan narrated the sequence to Karthikeya while shooting for the climax of RRR, which left him mind-blown. “I think during the climax shoot of RRR, he just randomly opened up about doing a film with Sukumar garu and started talking about the opening sequence of the film. For almost 5 minutes, my mind was blown. Ever since he mentioned it, I’ve been waiting for the film to be announced. Imagining it as a blockbuster already, it will become one of the iconic sequences. I hope I won’t leak much about it brother (sic).”

Tentatively titled RC17, the film marks Ram Charan’s second collaboration with the director after the successful rural drama Rangasthalam. In a way, Rangasthalam laid the groundwork for Sukumar’s Pan-Indian success Pushpa: The Rise. RC17 will be produced by Mytri Movie Makers with music from Devi Sri Prasad.
The director is currently directing Allu Arjun in the second part of Pushpa. Upon its release, Sukumar will start the shooting of RC17. Meanwhile, Ram Charan’s film with Shankar, titled Game Changer, will also be out, which has been in the making for a while now.
