How do you prep to play a god on screen? Ask Ranbir Kapoor. The actor has begun training top get into the right shape for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the upcoming screen adaptation of Ramayana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari (of Dangal and Chhichhore fame), the film is set to go on floors later this year.

The film has been long in the pre-production stage, with a lot of casting shuffles. Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram while Sai Pallavi will be seen as Sita in the film, which will feature KGF star Yash as Ravan.

In a new picture that has now surfaced online, Ranbir was seen performing a headstand in the gym. The image was posted by his trainer Nam, who used hashtags like “Ramayan”, “new skill” and “prep,” conforming that the actor is training for the big role. In another post, a fan claimed that Ranbir met an archery coach for training and shared picture of the duo, with arrows being visible on his table.
