Raj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media have been relentlessly promoting Shruti Haasan’s upcoming single “Inimel”. Now, a new promo of the song, written by Kamal Haasan, has been unveiled on social media. The short clip shows director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Kamal, and Shruti from the sets of the music video’s shoot.
The song marks the acting debut of Lokesh. Though he has made a cameo appearance as himself in RJ Balaji’s Singapore Saloon, Inimel marks his debut as a full-fledged actor. The promo also depicts how the tables have turned–the director is getting directed.
The promo was shared with the caption, “#Inimel Role Reverse is the New Verse.”
Earlier, a poster of “Inimel” was released which featured two joysticks. Till now, all the promos of the song have hinted that it is a youthful number and about modern relationships.

Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently busy writing the script of his next film with Rajinikanth, which is tentatively called Thalaivar 171. The film is expected to go on floors in April after Rajinikanth wraps up his shoot for Vettaiyan.
On the other hand, Kamal Haasan is busy with his next film Indian 2, directed by Shankar. The long-delayed movie will finally see the light of day this year. Kamal is also working on his film with director Mani Ratnam, which is titled Thug Life. He will then team up again with Lokesh for Vikram 2, which is expected to be the conclusion to Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
