Today seems to be the day of transformation posts. Earlier today, Tamil actor Arya took to social media to share pictures of his shredded body for his upcoming film Mr X, and now, Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has shocked the internet with his latest bare body photo, which revealed that the actor-director has gone through extreme physical transformation for his upcoming biopic of Savarkar titled Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.
In the monochrome mirror selfie, Randeep looks extremely thin and unrecognisable.
He captioned the photo, “Kaala Paani.”

In the comments section of Randeep Hooda’s post, fans were quick to compare his body transformation to that of Hollywood star Christian Bale from The Machinist. “Our own Christian Bale” and “Christian Bale of Bollywood” are some of the comments the picture garnered. Without a doubt, Randeep’s dedication has drawn a lot of attention toward the project.
Swatantrya Veer Savarkar marks the directorial debut of Randeep, who has also produced the movie. Talking about the film, the actor-director told PTI, “I did not make it like a preachy film, preaching about desh bhakti. I’ve made a film which is engaging and I tell facts with dates, and break the myth when it comes to calling him a British apologist or Muslim hater or a person who is involved in Mahatma Gandhi’s death, we’ve addressed them in the movie.”
Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is scheduled for release on March 22.
