The tale of Shah Rukh Khan purchasing his iconic Mumbai residence, Mannat, before his rise to stardom is well-known. Now, an old interview clip of Akshay Kumar is making rounds, where the Khiladi Kumar shares a near similar story of manifesting his own house in Mumbai long before achieving fame in films. The actor recalled being shooed away from the same location, only to become the owner of the property.

In the clip, Akshay reminisces about his days as an assistant to a renowned photographer before his Bollywood debut. He recalls forgoing his salary for several months in the hope of securing a photoshoot opportunity. He shares, “After 4-5 months, I told him, ‘If you don’t mind Jayesh, can you please do my photoshoot and you need not pay me anything.'”

Akshay reveals that during a photoshoot at Juhu beach, they stumbled upon a dilapidated bungalow. “I quickly lay down on the parapet of the bungalow, and he started clicking me. But a watchman of that building came towards us and shooed us away. We had already clicked 3-4 pictures by then.”

A building was constructed on the site of the dilapidated bungalow, and I live in that building.” He also displays a collage of two pictures in the video, one from the old photoshoot and a recent one taken on the same parapet.

On the professional front, Akshay is awaiting the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, along side Tiger shroff. He has Welcome To The Jungle, Singham Again, Sarfira and Hera Pheri 3 in the pipeline.
