Actor Jaya Bachchan has been an actor since her teen years and over the many decades in the film business, she has seen it all. In the upcoming episode of her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast, What The Hell Navya, Jaya will be seen discussing her attitude towards failure and how she copes with it.

The promo of the episode was released on Wednesday and sees the three women – Jaya, Shweta Bachchan and Navya Naveli Nanda – discussing how they deal with failure, and how the society blames women for a man’s failure. While Shweta said that she is very harsh on herself every time she fails at something, Jaya had a different take on this. She said, “For me, the immediate reaction would be to overcome and get back and do it again.”

Navya also brought up the fact as to how, sometimes, women are blamed for a man’s failure and Shweta shared how that concept must have come about. “I think it’s because of that saying, behind every successful man is a woman. Why can’t she be standing by his side, she doesn’t have to be behind him?” she asked.

Navya has been the architect of this podcast, which is currently in its second season. In a recent interview with Kiska Brand Bajega, Navya shared what she has taught her “Nana” Amitabh Bachchan. “I don’t think anyone will ever be able to reach the level of excellence that he (Amitabh Bachchan) has reached in his life. I have introduced him to a lot of things that young people are into. For instance, music, social media, TV shows etc. He also strongly feels about the causes that I am working for and believes in the message of gender equality, too,” Navya said.

Recently, Navya’s brother and actor Agastya Nanda also appeared on the show. He recently made his acting debut with Netflix’s Archies and will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis.
