Entrepreneur Vibhuti Arora, who pitched her face yoga and skin care business on a recent episode of Shark Tank India, did not make a deal on the show, but has certainly benefitted from the exposure that she received on it. In a recent interview, Vibhuti said that her business had grown ten times ever since she appeared on the show. The House of Beauty founder said that her interaction with the sharks lasted for over an hour, but her pitch was reduced to only 12 minutes.

On the show, Vibhuti was criticised by Vineeta Singh for the “poor packaging” of her products, and was told by Aman Gupta to come back on the next season of the show with a better business model. In a chat with ETimes, Vibhuti said that she was prepared for some harsh feedback, since that is the format of the show, but nonetheless, she was still expecting the sharks to be a little nicer and show some humility.

Vibhuti said that all the questioning on the show affected her “self esteem and confidence.” On being asked about her reaction to Vineeta’s comments on her “poor packaging,” Vibhuti said that she was ready to take full responsibility for it, but added that she went on the show to seek mentorship and not dismissal. She also mentioned that she was not ready for “this type of grilling” on Shark Tank India.

Vibhuti said that since her appearance on the show, she has had a lot of “sleepless nights,” because she felt like she was put down. She added that she had to gather a lot of courage to open up about her experience, and said that even though the sharks are within their rights to not partner with her, they could have been more polite about it.

On Shark Tank India, Vibhuti introduced her skincare products as an alternative to plastic surgery. Valuing her company at Rs 30 crore, she sought Rs 1.5 crore for 5% in her business. She has also posted about her experience on Instagram, calling out Vineeta and Namita, and more recently, said in an interview that she was on the verge of tears during the pitch.
