Shah Rukh Khan, who has maintained a low public profile in recent years, and is typically known for his discreet approach towards the paparazzi, surprised everyone on Tuesday evening as he made an appearance at the Mumbai airport, and engaged with the photographers gathered there. In a heartwarming moment captured on video, the superstar was seen amid a throng of fans and paparazzi, sporting his trademark ponytail, leather jacket, hairband, and aviators.
What truly stood out was SRK’s spontaneous gesture towards a photographer, who happened to be celebrating his birthday that day. Recently, SRK made headlines after former MP Subramanian Swamy’s claimed in a post on X that the actor, who enjoys massive popularity in Qatar and recently met the country’s prime minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani in Doha, played a role in the release of jailed former Indian Navy personnel from Qatar. However, SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani later shared a statement on Instagram, denying his involvement in the matter.
The statement read, “Regarding the reports concerning Shah Rukh Khan’s purported role in the release of India’s naval officers from Qatar, the office of Mr Shah Rukh Khan says that any such assertions of his involvement are unfounded…,”
“… The execution of this successful resolution solely rests with the Indian government officials. All matters involving diplomacy and statecraft are best executed by our very able leaders,” the statement, also posted by his manager said.
“Mr. Khan like many other Indians is happy that the naval officers are home safe and wishes them all the best,” it concluded. Shah Rukh was last seen in the film Dunki, which concluded his record-breaking 2023, a year in which he delivered two of the biggest hits of his career – Pathaan and Jawan.
