It’s inevitable for celebrities to encounter controversies, and social media influencer turned actor Kusha Kapila has had her share since entering the Hindi film industry. In a recent interview, Kusha discussed seeking advice from Karan Johar on how to navigate such situations. She also recalled a ‘proud’ moment when Karan invited her and other comedians to speak with Shah Rukh Khan during their appearance on a previous season of Koffee With Karan.

In an interview with Lallantop, Kusha shared her experience of turning to Karan for guidance on handling controversies. She said, “I have taken advice from Karan Johar on how to face and manage controversy. I did Ghost Stories with him. He was my first director. He gives a good advice and with full honesty. He writes it and give it to you. For instance, he gave an advice through a message and at the end he wrote, ‘Kuch toh log kahege logo ka kaam hai kehna.’ He is great at giving advice because he has seen so much of the industry.”

Kusha Kapila played a supporting role in Karan Johar’s directorial segment in anthology horror film Ghost Stories.

Kusha also recalled the moment she interacted with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time, thanks to Karan Johar. She said, “I have had a conversation with him over a video call, thanks to Karan Johar. This is a big thing for me. I am proud that I have talked to SRK over a video call. SRK the legend, the Delhi wallah, the one who makes you believe. When his Pathaan was coming, there is a group of us who went on Koffee With Karan last year. During that show, we were praising Pathaan and Karan Johar just called and made us all talk to Shah Rukh Khan. He told us that I want to talk to all of you, everyone talk one by one. Everyone spoke of their SRK experience. What is Shah Rukh for them. I told him that he is an emotion for me. We weren’t stopping.”

Kusha Kapila was last seen in the Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Thank You for Coming and was also part of Shilpa Shetty’s film Sukhee.
