In Sam Bahadur, Vicky Kaushal portrays the role of the renowned Indian military hero, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The film revolves around the 1971 Indo-Pak war for the liberation of Bangladesh. Sanya Malhotra takes on the role of Manekshaw’s wife, Silloo, while Fatima Sana Shaikh depicts the character of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Although Sam Bahadur faced tough competition with the release of Animal on December 1, both films now have a week to maximize their collections before yielding the spotlight to two highly anticipated Christmas releases: Shah Rukh Khan’s social comedy drama, Dunki, and Prabhas’ action-packed venture, Salaar.
