Hootie & the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker was allegedly caught with marijuana and psychedelic pills before police arrested him, according to reports.

The incident actually took place on Feb. 19, 2023, but the “Only Wanna Be With You” singer just turned himself in on Thursday.

Franklin, Tennessee, police state in the arrest affidavit, obtained by Radar Online, that they pulled Rucker over because his registration tags appeared to be expired.

Once they reached his vehicle, however, police officers believed they smelled marijuana and asked Rucker, 57, whether he had been smoking. He claimed he had not but may have smoked the previous day.

The cops searched the “Time” singer’s car and say they discovered a THC pen as well as 14 unmarked pills, which Rucker claimed his girlfriend, Summer, gave him.

The officers then patted down Rucker, which is when the performer allegedly handed them a blunt he had in his pocket.

Authorities claim they later tested the 14 pills and identified them as Psilocin, which is a controlled substance similar to magic mushrooms.

Officers released him at the time they pulled him over because they wanted to wait for the test results to come back. The documents state that an arrest warrant was issued in December prior to Rucker turning himself in.

confirmed that the “Wagon Wheel” singer was taken into custody on three misdemeanor charges, including two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of a violation of the state’s vehicle registration law.

Rucker was released shortly after he posted $10,500 bail.

The country music star’s ex-girlfriend Kate Quigley, who once survived a drug overdose, saw the news Thursday and took the opportunity to blast him as a “d-bag ex.”

“Yes. I’ve heard. All I can say is Karma,” she tweeted.

The comedian followed up her post with a spicy photo of herself wearing a bikini while sticking out her tongue and added, “Mood when u hear your d-bag ex got arrested. #Karma.”
