Aaron Samuels skipped the recent “Mean Girls” reunion for a good reason.

Jonathan Bennett, who played the heartthrob in the 2004 movie, told E! News Thursday that he didn’t reprise his role for Walmart’s Black Friday commercial because he “was filming” and “couldn’t do it.”

The actor, 42, noted that “it was so fun” to see Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert reunite in the November ad.

Rachel McAdams, who famously played Regina George, was noticeably absent from the clip, with reporting at the time that she “didn’t want to do it.”

Her former co-stars, however, “had a great time talking about being moms, and it was definitely a loss not having Rachel there,” a source told us.

On Wednesday, McAdams, 45, admitted to Variety that she just “wasn’t that excited about doing a commercial.”

She added, “I’ve never done commercials, and it just didn’t feel like my bag.”

The Oscar nominee clarified that she didn’t find out that Lohan, 37, Seyfried, 38, and Chabert, 41, were involved until “later.”

“I would, of course, always love to be part of a ‘Mean Girls’ reunion and hang with my Plastics,” she gushed.

Elsewhere in the interview, McAdams revealed that she and Tina Fey “sort of dabbled with a few ideas” about bringing her back for the “Mean Girls” musical film, which comes out next month.

“I was really down for whatever she wanted to do,” McAdams said. “I think the direction it went in will be fantastic and I cannot wait to see it.”

Bennett, meanwhile, said Thursday that he “of course” would do a “Mean Girls” sequel and believes that is a “mass consensus” among the cast.
