Veteran actor Shishir Sharma has opened up about sharing screen space with actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Naseeruddin Shah and Aamir Khan. Shishir was all praise for Amitabh and his professionalism. He recalled how Big B would not move from his place until the director told him that they had wrapped the scene.
In an interview with Rajshri Unplugged, Shishir said that he worked with Amitabh in the film Sarkar Raj. He said, “Working with Bachchan saab was the icing on the cake. What can an actor ask for more than that? It was such a pleasure working with him. I did a couple of scenes with him, and it was a great, great experience because he’s such a professional. He will not move from his place until the director tells him to move. If the director says, ‘It’s a wrap for the scene sir,’ after that he will get up and leave. Until that happens, he will sit there in one place. So, I thought that was something that one has to imbibe from an actor like him.”
Sarkar Raj was released in 2008. The film also starred Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan among others. Shishir Sharma also praised Naseeruddin Shah and Aamir Khan, adding how young actors should learn discipline from them.
He said, “I worked with Naseer saab also. He’s also of the same caliber. I worked with Aamir Khan also. He’s also of the same caliber in terms of the professionalism that these actors have. It is amazing, and I don’t understand why actors of today do not take a leaf out of their books. Actors like Bachchan saab, Aamir Khan, all those people do not need to show up against each other. They are disciplined in their own way.”
