Actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s film Fighter is set to release in theatres on 25 January and on Tuesday, the makers entertained fans by releasing the BTS footage of their dance number “Sher Khul Gaye”. In the video, Hrithik, who is already known as a good dancer, is seen helping the rest of the cast practice individually as well as ace his own steps.

The song has been choreographed by Bosco, who is all in praise of Hrithik. He said, “Any move you give him (Hrithik), he glorifies it, owns it and makes it sensational”. In the video, Hrithik and Deepika are also seen having a great time as they rehearse the steps together.

A special moment in the footage shows the entire cast cheering for actor Karan Singh Grover, who is trying to get a step correct. Hrithik is also seen brainstorming with Karan to explain the nuances of the step. In another scene, he is seen dancing with co-star Akshay Oberoi.

Deepika’s husband, actor Ranveer Singh also makes an appearance as he is seen watching replay of a shot. The whole team also gets together to cut a cake with Deepika feeding the cake to Hrithik.

Deepika, who plays a fighter pilot in the film, said, “You see the whole team together. You see us as a unit , its a celebration.”

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter is an action film in which Hrithik, Deepika and Anil Kapoor play the leading role of fighter pilots. Siddharth said that “Sher Khul Gaye” is about victory and since the song was shot towards the end of the film, the bonding of the cast can be seen in the song.

“‘Sher Khul Gaye’ is where you have a sense of victory, you celebrate. Its a dance song and Hrithik and Deepika, it’s just eye candy. The song is something we shot towards the end of the film, the team developed this bonding through this journey. So it’s a sense of homecoming, yet closure . So it was a mix of emotions and we had a blast.”

The director, whose 2023 January film Pathaan was a blockbuster, is coming back with Fighter on the same day this year. In an earlier interview, he revealed his Pathaan actor Shah Rukh Khan’s reaction to Fighter’s trailer.

Siddharth told News18, “Shah Rukh loved the trailer. In fact, I met him the day it was released. He loved the look of the villain and the stunts. According to him, the CGI appeared very seamless. He was very impressed.”

The film, which is set to release on January 25 has already sold one lakh tickets in advance for the opening day, bringing in a collection of Rs 3.66 crore.
