Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 all you need to know: The Indian women’s team will look to replicate the men’s feat as they aim for their first World Cup in the tournament which will kickstart in UAE from Thursday. The first match will pit Bangladesh against a debuting Scotland team as the 10-team event promises much thrills and spills.

Australia are the defending champions, looking to make history as they go for their 4th successive World Cup title but it won’t be easy as they face New Zealand, Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka in the group stage.

Format and Groups

Each side will play four group matches and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals which are scheduled for October 17 and 18. The final will be in Dubai on October 20.
