National Award-winning filmmaker Gajendra Ahire’s next The Signature is set to stream on Zee5 from October 4. Backed by KC Bokadia and Anupam Kher Studio, The Signature features Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Neena Kulkarni, Annu Kapoor, and Ranvir Shorey in pivotal roles.

Ahead of the release, the makers released the trailer of the film, which is centred around a devoted husband’s emotional journey to ensure his ailing wife finds the right medical care. In the trailer, we see Kher’s Arvind coming to terms with his wife’s sudden health crisis. The medical stress is compounded by the emotional strain, and the burden such a sudden situation puts on relationships, and equations with people around us. And when finally, he is given the responsibility to choose between life and death for his loving wife, what does this ordinary man do? Is love enough? Can logic trump emotions? This is what is explored in Gajendra’s The Signature, which is Kher’s 525th film.

Here’s the trailer:

Talking about the film, Anupam Kher, in a statement, said, “In The Signature, I have portrayed a middle-class man. Whether in Saaransh, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Sansar, or Salaakhen, I’ve always brought something different to each role. And what makes my character in this film unique is his deep love and devotion toward his wife. Over the years, their relationship evolves beyond just being partners; they have become friends. That is what truly sets this character apart.” The veteran assured that The Signature will be relatable to all kinds of audiences and all his upcoming films will reflect the lives of common people.
