Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have not shared screen space on many occasions and the first time they appeared on the screen together was for Rakesh Roshan’s film Karan Arjun. It was during one of the song shoots of the film that both the actors were scolded by their co-star Mamta Kulkarni for not remembering their dance steps correctly. During an earlier appearance on Bigg Boss with Salman, Shah Rukh recalled the incident and said that they were feeling like the best dancers in the world during the song “Bhangra Paa Le” until they were pulled up by Mamta and told that they were ruining the song.

“There is hardly anyone who has scolded me and Salman both. Mamta ji did not approve our step. She said hers was fine but we were ruining the song. So me and Salman were standing on the side and Mamta ji did this (gestures snapping the fingers). Me and Salman both thought that she must not be speaking to us. But we turned and she was looking at us. Salman said she must be calling you and in my innocence, I even went up to her,” Shah Rukh shared.

He then said that Mamta was very blunt about her feedback. “So I went and she clearly said that you guys should show up after rehearsal because I am doing the steps correctly but you are ruining it,” Shah Rukh said and laughed and Salman interrupted by saying, “I thought I was Michael Jackson.” Shah Rukh added that even he thought he was dancing like Prabhu Deva.

“We were quite ashamed after that. Then we started pulling all nighters to rehearse. We would rehearse the dance steps till 5 am but we would only rehearse the portions that were required the next day. The next time, when we did that step, we did it well but she made an error,” he laughed and shared.

Shah Rukh and Salman were last seen together in Tiger 3 where Shah Rukh appeared in a cameo.
