Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 has made history at the box office. The mid-budget film has not only emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time, but it has also become the second Hindi film in history to hit the Rs 600 crore mark in the domestic market. Moreover, Stree 2 is now the first Hindi film to achieve this feat in a single language, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Stree 2 had earned Rs 598.90 crore by Saturday, just Rs 1.1 crore short of the Rs 600 crore mark. On Sunday, the film added Rs 4.85 crore to its total, bringing its domestic earnings to an impressive Rs 603.75 crore.

The film’s performance saw a major boost on Friday thanks to Cinema Day, when ticket prices dropped to Rs 99, drawing large crowds to theatres. After earning Rs 24.65 crore in its fifth week, Stree 2 experienced an impressive 203 percent surge in collections on Friday, raking in Rs 5 crore. This momentum carried over into the weekend, with the film earning Rs 3.65 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.85 crore on Sunday.
Stree 2 has surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s mega-blockbuster Jawan, which earned Rs 582 crore from its Hindi version and Rs 643 crore at the domestic box office, including collections from Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions. While Jawan remains the top Bollywood grosser at an all-India level, when considering only the Hindi version, Stree 2 has claimed the number one spot, outperforming the Shah Rukh Khan starrer.
In comparison, Stree 2 has outshined other major blockbusters as well. Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (Hindi version) earned Rs 502.98 crore, while Pathaan brought in Rs 524.53 crore from its Hindi version. Meanwhile, Gadar 2, which was also released exclusively in Hindi, collected Rs 525.7 crore at the box office.
