After delivering the unforgettable song “Ikk Kudi,” based on Alia Bhatt’s character in Udta Punjab, singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and Alia are reuniting after 8 years for a song in her upcoming film Jigra. On Sunday, Alia shared a sneak peek of their new song, “Chal Kudiye,” which is crooned by Diljit.

Alia took to Instagram to share a teaser of the song, featuring herself and Diljit. The teaser begins with Alia facing away from the camera, with the word ‘Ghar’ (Home) written on her t-shirt. Diljit, looking dashing in an all-white outfit, also appears in the music video. In the background, the word “Jigra” is prominently displayed. Sharing the teaser, Alia wrote, “It’s yours soon 💌 #ChalKudiye @diljitdosanjh #Jigra in cinemas 11th October.”

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement after Alia Bhatt posted the teaser. One fan commented, “My two most favourite people in one frame 🥹✨🫶💗😭🤌.” Another fan wrote, “A chartbuster loading. Can’t wait for it ❤️.” A third fan excitedly posted, “This is already a banger 🔥🔥.”

Earlier, Alia had shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the song. The picture showed her sitting on a chair labeled ‘The said Kudi,’ while Diljit’s chair read ‘Sings about Kudi.’ Sharing the snapshot, Alia captioned it: “Chairs say it all.” Alia and Diljit previously collaborated on Udta Punjab, which marked Diljit’s Hindi film debut. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the movie also featured Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.

Coming to Jigra, the film is directed by Vasan Bala, who recently helmed Netflix’s Monica, O My Darling. Jointly produced by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, Jigra promises to be a much-anticipated release. Meanwhile, Diljit is preparing for his India tour, which kicks off next month. The Punjabi actor-singer will be visiting 10 Indian cities from October to December as part of his Dil-Luminati India tour.

Jigra is all set to hit theatres on October 11.
