Paparazzo Manav Manglani recently opened up about his experiences as one of Bollywood’s leading celebrity photographers. In an interview, he spoke about the popularity of star kids, and said that currently, Raha Kapoor – the daughter of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt – is incredibly popular on his page. He also recalled the day when Alia and Ranbir decided to finally reveal Raha’s face to the world via the paparazzi, and how widely watched his video of the reveal became immediately.
In an appearance on the Aleena Dissects YouTube channel, Manav Manglani also spoke about the many hours that he waited to capture the first visuals of Ranbir Kapoor in full costume and makeup as Sanjay Dutt, for the 2018 biopic film Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. “The biggest look that I’ve unveiled was Ranbir Kapoor in Sanju. We waited for eight hours. The day started at 9 am, he came on set at around 1 pm in the afternoon, and we got the photo at 3 pm. But we waited till 7 pm to see him exit, and that’s when we felt safe that we’d bagged an exclusive.”

He continued, “He looked exactly like Sanjay Dutt. We knew that the photos would create a ‘dhamaka’. The production had no idea we had the pictures. Often, producers get angry when we photograph actors in certain looks because they plan big events around the reveal.” Manav also looked back on the famous Kapoor family Christmas party of 2023, when Ranbir and Alia revealed Raha’s face.
Alia Bhatt is trying to create a life book for daughter Raha by writing her emails.
He said, “My video of her face reveal touched 1 million views in six minutes. I was like, ‘What the f…’ It crossed 10 million in 24 hours. We thought only Ranbir and Alia would pose, but Ranbir gestured at us from afar, and said, ‘Wait, I’m bringing her out, don’t make noise’.” Manav said that he isn’t against photographing star kids, but draws the line at when they’re alone and not with their parents. Several actors have made special requests to the paparazzi for not clicking pictures of their children. Anushka Sharma still refuses to show the faces of her kids Vamika and Akaay, and Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan didn’t reveal their second son, Jeh’s face until he was a little older.
