Chappell Roan got feisty with a photographer on the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet on Wednesday night after she was seemingly told to “shut up.”

“You shut the f–k up,” the “Good Luck, Babe” songstress snapped back, adding, “Don’t. Not me, bitch.”

The redheaded beauty appeared angry at the pap, though it is still unclear what exactly set her off.

After the heated exchange, Roan told Entertainment Tonight that the carpet was “overwhelming” and “scary.”

“I think for someone who gets a lot of anxiety around people yelling at you, the carpet is horrifying, and I yelled back. I yelled back, you don’t get to yell at me like that,” she told the outlet.

A rep for the singer did not immediately return our request for comment.

Roan, 26, made her grand debut appearance at the VMAs in a modern medieval look, consisting of a purple-tinted sheer gown and mint green robe, which she claimed was 300 years old.

The “Red Wine Supernova” singer accessorized with a massive cross necklace, drop earrings, fishnet arm warmers, extra long metallic-colored acrylic nails and leg armor.

She even appointed an assistant to dress up as a knight and roll out a 600 year old vintage carpet for her to walk on.

Roan — who is performing at the VMAs for the first time and nominated for two awards including best new artist — topped off her daring look by carrying a sword.

The pop star’s heated confrontation comes after she called out “entitled” fans who request photos with her.

“I don’t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or a little famous, whatever. I don’t care that it’s normal,” she said in a TikTok video last month.

Roan — who’s navigating her sudden rise to fame — explained that just because it’s common for “this crazy type of behavior” to occur “does not make it OK” for it to happen.

“That doesn’t make it normal. That doesn’t mean I want it, doesn’t mean that I like it. I don’t want whatever the f–k you think you’re supposed to be entitled to whenever you see a celebrity,” she said.

“I don’t give a f–k if you think it’s selfish of me to say no for a photo or for your time or for a hug –– that’s not normal, that’s weird!”

Roan added she thinks it’s “f–king weird” that her fanbase believes they know her because they “listen to the art” she has created and see her “online.”

“I’m allowed to say no to creepy behavior, OK?” the “Hot To Go!” singer continued.

The hitmaker became an overnight sensation when she released her 2023 album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.”
