Devara Part 1 trailer: The highly awaited trailer of director Koratala Siva’s upcoming action drama Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, has finally been unveiled, promising an electrifying experience, combining all the key ingredients needed for a mass masala entertainer.
The 159-second trailer opens by introducing a group of people everyone fears. When one person asks another who they are, the latter mentions the gang led by Saif Ali Khan’s character: “There was no caste; no religion. Fear was something they never knew.” He adds at the end, “Eyes that knew nothing but courage, for the first time ever, were filled with fear,” hinting at an impending showdown. The trailer further warns, “It’s the story of Red Sea written in blood,” as we are introduced to Devara. “As long as you exist, this mountain shall obey only your orders,” Saif’s character says, referring to Devara.

The trailer also reveals that the movie will feature not one but two Jr NTRs, portraying Devara and his son. However, unlike Devara, his son is described as a ‘harmless’ person, with Janhvi Kapoor’s character remarking, “He only got his dad’s looks, not his courage.” However, as the promo progresses, it is revealed that Devara’s son is also forced to step into the arena he once feared. Filled with high-octane action sequences, the trailer teases just enough of the narrative without giving away too much, preserving the suspense.
Janhvi’s first-ever South Indian film — where her mother Sridevi dominated for decades — the movie has been a hot topic ever since its announcement in April 2021. To build anticipation, the makers have already released three songs — the mass-worthy “Fear Song,” the romantic melody “Chuttamalle” and the fast-paced “Daavudi.” The official trailer has only amplified this buzz, especially as the film marks Jr NTR’s return to the big screen following the global success of director SS Rajamouli’s RRR (2022).

Besides Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, the movie also stars Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko in key roles. The film is set to be released in two parts, with the first chapter arriving on September 27. Produced jointly by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, the film boasts cinematography by Rathnavelu ISC, music by Anirudh Ravichander, production design by Sabu Cyril and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
