Actor Rohit Roy spoke about his responsibilities and aspirations for daughter Kiara, who is a student at the prestigious Brown University in the United States. In a chat with fellow actor Zayed Khan, Rohit said that he is extremely proud of his daughter, who is doing very well as a student, and that the only thing he wishes for her is to remain happy and safe. He also said that a father’s responsibility towards their daughter never ends, but it’s a beautiful responsibility to have.

Their interaction was shared on the RiteBite Max Protein TV YouTube channel. Asked about his daughter, and the responsibilities he feels towards her, Rohit said, “I feel like the luckiest man on earth to have Kiara in my life. She’s a truly sorted individual. She lives her life, she studies hard. She goes to Brown, and her GPA is 3.9 on 4.”

He added, “My only prayer for her is for her to be happy. They get stressed about jobs… But my prayer is, please keep her happy, keep her healthy, safe, let her fly. I don’t think a father’s responsibility truly ends ever, especially with a baby girl. That’s probably the best responsibility for any man to get. He’s blessed if he has a daughter.”

In a previous interview, the actor had revealed that the producers of The Archies had shown interest in considering her for a role in the film, but that her priority remains her studies. He had also said that he wouldn’t want to launch her in a project himself. “I think it’s one of the biggest mistakes of filmmakers to direct their own kids. It’s the worst thing. I may produce for her but not direct her. The point also remains that she would want to be directed by Karan Johar more than me (laughs). But I will never helm her first film as I would not be able to push the envelope. It would be best if she’s directed by someone who works with her only as a creative collaborator. I think filmmakers should never launch their kids,” he told Indian Express.
