Charu Asopa, who stays connected with her fans through her YouTube vlogs, recently hit back at trolls who questioned her frequent travelling and parenting choices. The actress, who is a single mom to her daughter Ziana post her divorce with Rajeev Sen, opened up about her financial condition and other accusations put against her online.
Beginning with trolls targeting her for travelling with her daughter, the actress told ETimes, she travels to run her household. She said, “If I don’t travel for events, who will run my house and take care of my kid?”
Addressing questions around her decision to temporarily step away from acting, the actress shared that her current focus is her daughter, who is just 3-year-old at present. “If I did TV show, I would have had to stay out for 16-17 hours. There’s no time limit.”
The actress was targeted online after she shared a vlog of her recent trip to Delhi. In the vlog, Charu could be seen detailing her busy schedule. Many targeted her for making her daughter travel along with her and compromising with her academics.

However, her fans came in her support and said, “Ziana is not even 3 yrs old so why ppl are after her studies!!! Let her spend time with her mother , kids need exposure for good over all development. Jab ziana 5yr ki hogi she will b way ahead from kids of her age. Nanny change karna is always good as child will learn to respect and befriend new ppl.”
The actress is well known for her characters like Rajkumari Revati in Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev, Atkhati Pari in Baalveer, Preeti Srivastav in Mere Angne Mein and Shravani Piyali Purohit in Jiji Maa, among others.
The actress was constantly in news for her compatibility issues with her husband Rajeev Sen, who is the youngest brother of actress Sushmita Sen. After patching and breaking up for a couple of times, the couple divorced in 2023.
