Honey Singh, known for his hit tracks like “Angreji Beat”, “Lungi Dance” and “Desi Kalakar,” among others, recently revealed the “craziest” experience he had on the sets of Chennai Xpress, while shooting for the song “Lungi Dance”.

Singh recently spoke to Cine Connect. During the conversation, the rapper was asked to reveal one funny thing he experienced on the sets of “Lungi Dance”. The rapper revealed, “The only funny moment from the Lungi dance set is that they called me and made me sit for up to 12 hours with makeup. It was their plan to make me wait. They were like, ‘This guy is so excited to be part of this shoot, let us make him wait.’ I was sitting for 12 hours, and whoever visited the set, they came to me and greeted me and spoke to me kindly including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone who was accompanied by Ranveer Singh.”

“I couldn’t understand what was going on because everybody’s behaviour was quite nice, but they were not taking my shot. You won’t believe, they took my shot at the end and after that they said, ‘Pack up.’ So that was the craziest and funniest thing. They were testing my patience”, added the 41-year-old rapper.

In another interview with Lallantop, Honey Singh revealed the stupidest song of his career. He said, “The most stupid song I have ever written in my life is ‘Blue Hai Paani Paani’. Is this even a song? What kind of a song is ‘Blue Hai Paani Paani, Din Hai Sunny Sunny’? It’s nonsense. To be honest, look at all the songs; is there any substance? I can understand ‘Brown Rang’ as a song; it’s written in a certain way. ‘Blue Eyes’ praises beauty.”

The rapper also criticised his song “Lungi Dance” and said, “Don’t know what I was doing, and people were putting me on a pedestal. Today when I look back, and I have to perform these songs, I laugh at myself. They are still dancing to these songs. I still get revenue from these songs because they are still played.”

“Lungi Dance”, released in 2013, was a tribute to South superstar Rajinikanth. The song became a chartbuster. The song’s hook step too became quite viral. “Blue Hai Pani” (2013) too gained popularity upon its release.
