Last week, actor Sudhanshu Pandey announced his exit from Anupamaa leaving many shocked. While the actor did not speak much about his exit from the Rajan Shahi show, a lot of rumours have doing the rounds. According to speculations, a major reason for his exit was his issues with the show’s lead actress Rupali Ganguly. This isn’t the first time that reports of a rift between Sudhanshu and Rupali have surfaced, but what has raised eyebrows is the actress’ recent story on Instagram. A few days after Sudhanshu announced his exit from Anupamaa, Rupali dropped a cryptic post about ‘nasty’ people. Soon after this, many started to wonder if issues with Rupali led to Sudhanshu walking out from Anupamaa.
The quote by Sadhguru that Rupali shared read, “If someone is nasty to you, first try love. If that does not work, compassion. If that does not work, distance.” Back in 2022, it was reported that both the lead actors of Anupamaa, Sudhanshu and Rupali, shared a certain bitterness. It was said that both were not on talking terms, but back then Sudhanshu had rubbished such rumours.

The actor had told News 18, “‘Why don’t you come to the sets and watch?’ Simple as that. You’ll know what happens on the sets. It’s absolute fun all the time. We are always running around, poking fun at each other, cracking jokes. There is a very childlike atmosphere on the sets. When you read something about rifts and fights, it’s good for entertainment. When you hear a rumour, that will be a rumour because it’s only a rumour.”
Another report around Sudhanshu Pandey’s exit was about an alleged fight he had with producer Rajan Shahi. However, the former Vanraj Shah from Anupamaa clarified to the Times Of India that all was well between the two. He called Rajan his brother. “Rajan is an old friend, and our relationship has always been like that of two brothers. We worked together back when he was starting as a director, long before he became a producer. From my side, nothing has changed in our equation. However, everyone makes their own decisions about how they choose to be with the other person. I have no hard feelings towards anyone,” Sudhanshu said.

Sudhanshu Pandey also exclusively spoke to Indianexpress.com about his disagreements with Rupali Ganguly and said, “Actually yeh sab cheesein hoti hai, khaali dimaag ke wajeh se hoti hai (all these things happen because people speak without thinking). Where do these rumours come from? I don’t understand. Iska koi wajood nahi hota hai (there is no substance to it). Indulging in these discussions is like wasting your time. There is absolutely no point in even giving attention to such rumours.”
