Television actor and singer Sudhanshu Pandey recently left his fans shocked after announcing that he is distancing himself from hit TV show Anupamaa, co-starring Rupali Ganguli. Sudhanshu played the role of Anupamaa’s husband Vanraj in the popular show. Sudhanshu took to social media on Thursday to announce his departure from Anupamaa.

However, the actor has now revealed the actual reason for him to leave Anupamaa. He said, “All I would say is that when it is time for something, God gives you a signal. Whenever something happens, suddenly, or it takes time to happen, or whatever, I have always believed that I am being given a signal and I must recognise it at the right time. That’s all! I felt it was time and I needed to move on. I was happy for four years, it was a great space to be in. I did  a fantastic show, the show did fantastically well for everyone. It was a blessing all the way.”

“I had my run for four years and now it is time for me to move on. I did my best, whatever I could do to create Vanraj, my character. It was a great hit and loved by the audience. I did whatever I could as an actor to create an edge. As an artiste one should recognise when it is time to move on and experiment with other things. It is like an artist, when you start making a painting, you enjoy the process, and then there comes a time when you complete it as well and it is time to start another painting. That is what I feel I am. As an actor, there is a lot more that is going to come in the near future.” he added.

Ever since Sudhanshu announced that he is no more a part of Anupmaa, rumours that Sudhanshu and Rupali, the female protagonist of the family drama, did not get along too well and had several fights while shooting. While both the actors have not commented on it yet, Sudhanshu has finally broken his silence on the topic. He said that indulging in this discussion is like wasting time.

“Actually yeh sab cheesein hoti hai, khaali dimaag ke wajeh se hoti hai (all these things happen because people speak without thinking). Where do these rumours come from? I don’t understand. Iska koi wajood nahi hota hai (there is no substance to it). Indulging in these discussions is like wasting your time. There is absolutely no point in even giving attention to such rumours,” concluded Sudhanshu.
