In his long post on Instagram, Nikitin Dheer wrote, “What is life, but a mirror of our experiences. The only wealth we truly have is our body. Tattoos have been believed by the Santal people of our country as the only thing we carry to our after life. Every tattoo is a strong impression made by life or an event that left an indelible imprint on the soul that needs to be transferred to the skin. So is this tattoo for रावण..its a thanks to महादेव for giving me the opportunity to live this character for 9 months..to try and understand his mind..he made an everlasting impression on me..just like the people who watched the interpretation shall remember him.”

The note further read, “रावण truly believed in एको अहं, द्वितीयो नास्ति, न भूतो न भविष्यति.. He knew that there won’t be a भक्त like him ever again, there won’t be a king like him ever again, there won’t be a demon like him ever again, there won’t be a Bhramin like him ever again..the वीणा, when he played it’s said the Gods would descend to hear the sound from it and when he held the Chandrahaas the same Gods would hide in fear from his wrath. I thank him for coming in my life and I thank you all for your love and blessings. I share this moment with you.”
