Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 26: Kalki 2898 AD has been in theatres for nearly a month now and it is continuing to maintain its dominance at the box office. The sci-fi epic starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan, maintained a steady hold in its collections even on its fourth Monday as it minted Rs 2 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This takes the film’s nett domestic total to Rs 618.85 crore.

This is the lowest the film has collected in the three weeks it has dominated the Indian screens, zooming past all new releases including Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira and Vicky Kaushal’s Bad Newz. In fact, Kalki 2898 AD’s fourth Monday collections are in the range of Sarfira’s opening day, which was Rs 2.50 cr.

Kalki 2898 AD is likely to maintain its hold this week and bring in similar numbers in its fourth week as well. Kalki 2898 AD’s Hindi collections stand at Rs 277 crore, which is the highest collections of the year so far. The film will aim to end its lifetime Hindi run crossing Rs 300 crore. It is in the third position of top films headlined by South Indian stars in the Hindi belt after SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 at Rs 511 crore and Yash starrer KGF 2 at Rs 435 crore. The film has crossed RRR’s collections as the 2022 film made Rs 274 crore in the Hindi belt.

It is yet to be seen if Kalki 2898 AD will cross Jawan’s collections as the Shah Rukh Khan film made Rs 640 crore during its lifetime run. Whether Kalki 2898 AD crosses the Rs 300 crore mark in Hindi or goes past Jawan’s all-India nett will depend on how it fares when it finally faces its biggest box office hurdle this week with the mega Hollywood release Deadpool and Wolverine. The actioner has already sold over one lakh tickets as the advance bookings opened for its release on July 26.

With the new Hollywood release, the showcasing of Kalki 2898 AD will likely to take a hit, hence, the makers would hope that the film maintains its hold even at lower levels to record a steady week and enter its fifth weekend, where it might record its last best jump.
