Gifting is a tricky business, especially when it’s for your partner. Like many, Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal finds it challenging to find the perfect gift for his wife, actor Katrina Kaif. In a recent interaction, Vicky admitted he is ‘horrible’ at choosing gifts for her. He also revealed that Katrina’s interest in art has encouraged him to research more on the subject.
Speaking on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Vicky spoke about his gifting abilities and said, “I haven’t cracked this game yet. Some people are really good with gifting things and Katrina isn’t into materialistic things in terms of gifts. For me, gifting is to crack a joke and I run out of jokes. I run out of the ‘thought’ in ‘thoughtful gifting.’ I am really horrible at it.”
During the interaction, Vicky revealed the best gift he has given to Katrina. “She is a lot into art so I gifted her a painting. That was first time I bought a painting in my life. I had no idea about it but now I am loving it because I love the wall where it is placed and it’s my favourite wall of the house. It’s a painting by GR Iranna. This is first time I am taking his name because I didn’t know any such artists apart from MF Hussain,” he said
Vicky and Katrina, who dated for several years, got married in December 2021. Recently, there were a few rumours about Katrina’s pregnancy. However, Vicky put an end to these speculations during a promotional event for his upcoming film Bad Newz, firmly denying any truth to the claims. He said, “Abhi ke liye aap Bad newz enjoy kar lo, jo hum la rahe hain. Jab uska time aayega, we won’t be shying away from giving that news (For now, please enjoy Bad Newz. When the time is right, we won’t shy away from announcing the pregnancy news).”
