Among a dozen talking points from what was arguably one of the biggest weddings of the country, the moments involving Bachchan family stood out from the grand ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Held at Jio World Drive, the wedding saw the who’s who of the Hindi film industry in attendance, including Aishwarya Rai.

At the red carpet of the ceremony, Amitabh Bachchan led the family as he walked into the designated picture area to pose, with Jaya Bachchan joining him. The couple posed for the photographers as the rest of the family then joined them– including Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Shweta Nanda, her husband Nikhil Nanda and their children, Navya Naveli Nanda and The Archies star Agastya Nanda.

Aishwarya, however, wasn’t part of the pictures as she didn’t pose with the Bachchan family. In a video that later emerged, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was filmed meeting Rekha before arriving at the designated spot for pictures.

In the short clip, Aishwarya was seen greeting Rekha warmly. The duo leans in to hug each other, as Rekha whispers something to Aishwarya. The movie veteran then kisses Aishwarya’s daughter, Aaradhya and is seen interacting briefly with them. Aishwarya then makes her way to the red carpet, holding Aaradhya’s hand.

Once at the red carpet, Aishwarya posed with her 12-year-old daughter first and later obliged the waiting photographers with her solo pictures. She wasn’t clicked with any of the Bachchan family members at the ceremony.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got married in Mumbai–with Indian film industry celebrities and dignitaries in attendance from all over the world–after hosting pre-wedding functions across the globe. American influencer Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian, John Cena and rapper Rema were also in attendance at the wedding.
