After a dip in earnings over the past three days, Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD regained momentum on Saturday, indicating its box office run is far from over. According to Sacnilk, the film saw a 100 per cent growth in its collection, earning a total of Rs 34.45 crore India net on its 10th day, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 466 crore.
On its second Saturday, the Hindi version of the film performed better than the Telugu version, boosting the film’s earnings. The movie’s tenth-day collection consists of Rs 11 crore from the Telugu version, Rs 3 crore from Tamil, Rs 18.5 crore from Hindi, Rs 0.45 crore from Kannada, and Rs 1.5 crore from Malayalam, as per Sacnilk data. On Saturday, the filmmakers announced that Nag Ashwin’s epic saga has cruised past the Rs 800 crore mark in its worldwide box office earnings.

Nag Ashwin, basking in the success of his film, has shared his plans for the highly anticipated sequel of Kalki 2898 AD. “The next one is a while off because it’s not really shot yet. It’s shot for about 20 to 30 days. I’d say at best 20 per cent (is ready). At best 20 percent because the big stuff is still remaining. We have to get that right,” he told Zoom. The director also revealed that the sequel will be focused on Kamal Haasan’s character Supreme Yaskin.
