Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s starry sangeet night unfolded in Mumbai on Friday evening, with the who’s who of Bollywood in attendance. One of the biggest highlights of the evening was a live private concert by Justin Beiber. The Canadian popstar especially flew down for the Ambani function, and delivered quite an electrifying performance at the NMACC, in Mumbai. Videos from the party show Justin singing his most iconic songs, such as “Baby” and “Peaches.” He also got the audience to join him in singing the chartbusters during the high-energy concert.

Another video from Justin’s performance shows him vibing with internet sensation Orry. The singer arrived in Mumbai on Friday morning, and left the city soon after attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet. Bieber first performed in India in 2017, but was criticised for lip-syncing throughout his show. He was supposed to perform once again in 2020, but cancelled the concert citing poor health.

While the audience at the ceremony seemed to enjoy Justin’s performance, netizens had mixed reactions. One fan said that the singer performed like he usually does, and a few others shared how Justin Bieber’s songs just didn’t go well in an Indian sangeet setting.

The sangeet ceremony was attended by many Bollywood and sports celebrities too. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, and others also performed on famous Bollywood numbers. From the sports fraternity, cricketers Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and a few others were seen in attendance. The Ambani family also dedicated a special performance to Team India for winning the T20 World Cup.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will tie the knot at the Jio Convention Center in Bandra, Mumbai, on July 12. They’ve hosted several pre-release events in the months leading up to the wedding, and have hosted private concerts by Rihanna, Diljit Dosanjh, Katy Perry, the Backstreet Boys, and more.
