After being in the making for over five years, Nag Ashwin directorial Kalki 2898 AD is finally set to hit the theatres on June 27. With less than 10 days left for release, the makers organised a grand pre-release event in Mumbai on Wednesday. The event was attended by the entire cast of Kalki including mom-to-be Deepika Padukone, actors Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan. Videos of these stars arriving at the venue are being shared widely on social media. In one such video, Deepika Padukone, who is due in September can be seen happily entering the venue.
In a viral video, the actor can be seen stopping to meet the film’s producer Ashwini Dutt as she walks in the venue. She stopped to greet him and as they met warmly, he asked her to proceed without taking much of her time. Deepika was dressed in a black bodycon dress, flaunting her baby bump. She completed her look with chunky jewellery and black heels.

Meanwhile, videos of Kamal Haasan and Prabhas arriving at the venue is also widely circulated online. In the videos, Kamal Haasan can be seen dressed in an all-white suit paired with a black cap. Similarly, Prabhas arrived in an all-black outfit.

Actor Rana Daggubati too has arrived at the event. He was seen welcoming Amitabh Bachchan on the stage. Bachchan was dressed in a stylish hoodie paired with a comfy pant addressed the crowd and said, “It’s a great honour to be part of the film.”
He also thanked Nag Ashwin for making him work in the conditions he never thought he would work in. The event was followed by Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone addressing the crowd, while Rana played the host of the grand event.
