Kannada actor Rachita Ram has spoken about the Darshan Thoogudeepa fan murder case, expressing her shock at her mentor’s alleged involvement in the murder of his fan, Renukaswamy. Rachita, who made her silver screen debut with the film Bulbul opposite Darshan, also noted that the Kranti actor had introduced her to the film industry.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Rachita revealed her disbelief, writing, “Following the recent incident, I am writing this note, not as an actress but as an ordinary citizen. Firstly, my condolences to Renuka Swamy, and I pray for his soul to rest in peace. I also pray to the Almighty to give strength to the family of Renuka Swamy to bear this loss. Further, I also believe that justice will be served in this case.”

The actor continued, “Darshan sir, who introduced me to the film industry, is like a guru (mentor) to me. It’s hard to believe that Darshan sir, who guided me, is involved in such a case. However, I believe that truth shall prevail in the end following the police investigation in the matter.”
