Anees Bazmee reacts to Singham Again clashing with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the box office: ‘There is definitely loss…’

With absolutely no film release in the beginning of the year to a number of movies gearing up to hit the screen in the second half, the Hindi film industry has now been witnessing several changes in the release dates of several big films lined up for the year. The latest film to shift its release date is Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham Again. The movie, originally scheduled to release on Independence Day, will now hit theatres on Diwali. Previously, the makers of Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had also confirmed a Diwali release. With the latest development, it seems like the Anees Bazmee directorial will clash at the box office with Rohit Shetty’s cop drama. Now, Bazmee has reacted to the news.

In an interview with HT City, Anees said, “Clashes are never a good idea. We had announced our release date for BB3 a year in advance. I don’t know kya karein abhi.” He added, “All films get affected when there is a clash, there is definitely loss in the process. And, it is not about showing confidence in your product. Duniya ka har director, actor, writer hamesha apni film ke baare mein confidently baat karta hai.”

Speaking about changing Bhool Bhulaiyaa’s release date, Anees Bazmee said, “We haven’t thought of it yet as we had decided the film’s release date in advance. Ajay is a good friend and these clashes are not in our control.”

Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 also stars Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri. Meanwhile, Singham Again will feature Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff, among others. It needs to be seen if the makers will reconsider their release dates.
