Drashti Dhami and her husband Niraj Khemka are expecting their first child after nine years of marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, recently took to their Instagram handles to share an adorable video announcing the news. The video also revealed that the couple is due in October 2024.

On Friday, Drashti and Niraj shared a fun video featuring their family members. In the video, the couple can be seen holding a banner that reads, “Could be pink, could be blue. All we know is that we are due. October 2024.”

The couple twinned in stripped outfits for the video. They were seen holding a glass of champagne in one hand while the family members celebrated the occasion. Just before the couple could take a sip of the champagne, Drashti’s sister-in-law replaces the glasses with milk bottles, and the entire family celebrates.

Captioning the video, Drashti Dhami wrote, “In a galaxy not so far away, a tiny rebel is joining our crazy tribe.”

Drashti Dhami made her acting debut with the television series Dill Mill Gaye which ran from 2007 to 2009. In 2008, the actor also participated in the reality show Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket. In 2010, she rose to fame after starring in Geet-Hui Sabse Parayi, co-starring Gurmeet Choudhary. Later, from 2012-2014, she was seen playing the lead in the show Madhubala opposite Vivian DSena, which became a massive hit.

Apart from starring in television series, the actor has also hosted shows like Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa 7. Later, in 2022, she moved to OTT and gained popularity for her performance in Duranga, opposite Gulshan Devaiah. She was also part of The Empire and I Don’t Watch TV, among others.
