USDA’s Wholesale Boxed Beef prices were lower this afternoon, with choice quoted $2.09 lower to $314.79 and select down $3.57 per 100 pounds at $300.90. USDA estimated Wednesday’s FI cattle slaughter at 124,000 head, taking the weekly total to 367,000 head. That is down 2,668 head from the same week last year.
