Netflix India has dropped the promo of the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, which will see Indian sportswomen Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom and Sift Kaur Samra appearing as quests. The teaser, which dropped on Wednesday, features the women in their most candid selves and cracking up both the host, Kapil Sharma and the audience. “Iss hafte, laughter ke saath karlo game mode on, kyunki India ki incredible sportswomen aa rahi hai,” the streamer captioned the post shared on its official Instagram account. Amid a series of hilarious moments, one of the segments gives the audience a sneak peek into a fun banter between Kapil and tennis star Sania Mirza who shared details about her love life.

In the video, Kapil spoke about superstar Shah Rukh Khan wanting to play Sania’s love interest in a film based on her life. Sania cheekily responded, “Abhi mujhe pehle love interest dundna hai (I have to find a love interest first).” Sania’s frank and amusing reply left everyone, including Archana Puran Singh in splits. A fan, who was amused by Sania’s response, reacted on Instagram, “I really wana see sania mirza in a movie.. she will be the best ever (sic),” they wrote on the platform. Sania, who was married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, shares a son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, with her ex-husband. The two divorced amid speculation about his infidelity.

Recently, amid the news of Sania and Shoaib’s divorce, an old video featuring SRK, the former tennis player and her ex-husband resurfaced. The video shared on a paparazzo account, sees the Pathaan actor asking Sania about the qualities that made her marry Shoaib. Sania had quipped, “I have not seen much, he is very shy. You will have to teach him to talk.” When the same question was asked to Shoaib, he answered, “Sochne ka time nahi mila, use pehle shaadi ho gayi (Didn’t get time to think, got married before that),” indicating the whirlwind nature of their courtship. SRK, known for his wit, joked, “You are in India now, so don’t mess up even by mistake.”
The new teaser promo of the episode also showed Mary Kom mixing up the names of Sania and Saina. In another hilarious moment, when Kapil asks his guests if their husbands are polite and soft-spoken by nature or became so after marriage, Sania responds, “They have to become kind.” Sania also acted as a daughter-in-law with Kapil dressed as her mother-in-law, and served her tea. Sania’s quick response to Kapil mention ‘zehar jaisi chai’ had the audience guffawing. “Maine to achchi hi banayi thi, apke muh ko lag kar zehar jaisi ho gayi (I made tea only, it turned to poison after touching your mouth).” The new episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show will premiere on Saturday, 8 pm.
