Bollywood actor Aditi Rao Hydari has opened up about her experience sharing screen space with actors like Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor in a recent interview. Aditi, who is currently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, was also all praise for the filmmaker. The actor also starred in SLB’s Padmavat.

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Aditi said, “I finished shooting a love story with Mani Ratnam and three days later, I was on Sanjay’s set. I walked onto the set and of course, I was mesmerized because it was just like, ‘What is this world?’ Incredible. I was very overwhelmed.”

Her first scene on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set was with Ranveer Singh, an actor she has known since their early days in the industry. “Ranveer looked at me and said, ‘Adu, you know that you’re living the dream, right?’ (Leaving Mani Ratnam’s set and coming to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s set) He was shaking me and I realised, ‘You’re right, you’re right.’ It was really, really incredible.”

Aditi Rao Hydari expressed her admiration for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, praising his unique approach to filmmaking. “I love Sanjay sir. I just love working with him. He creates this incredible atmosphere for us, and he loves his actors and characters. Everything he does comes from love and extreme passion. It’s very inspiring and amazing to see. Everybody talks about how he challenges his actors, but he challenges himself the most, to find that magic, to keep creating, to find something almost ephemeral. It’s an experience.”

When asked about her experience working with Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar, Aditi was equally effusive. “But working with Ranbir was mad. He’s incredible, so incredible. He’s one of my favorite actors and he’s so present. He can convince you of anything.”

Aditi Rao Hydari’s Heeramandi is currently streaming on Netflix.
