Trust Alia Bhatt to share the most fun videos with her friends. This time, the Highway actor teamed up with her BFF Akansha Ranjan to create a goofy version of the song “Dekhha Tenu” from Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film Mr & Mrs. Mahi.

In the clip, Akansha is seen lip-syncing the song while looking at Alia as they dine together. As Akansha showers her with love, Alia blushes and reaches out for a hug, only to realize that her friend’s affection is directed towards a plate of French fries. This creates a humorous, awkward moment. Alia shared the video and wrote, “This song 🩷 T̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶g̶i̶r̶l̶ These fries🙌🏼😍 #MrAndMrsMahi in cinemas May 31st! 🏏”

Janhvi Kapoor, the lead star of Mr & Mrs. Mahi, reacted to Alia’s video with, “Lol love it 😂❤️.” Alia’s sister, Shaheen Bhatt, commented, calling them “Awkward chicks,” while actor Niki Walia and stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania filled the comments with laughing emojis.

“Dekhha Tenu” is a fresh rendition of the classic song “Say Shava Shava” from Karan Johar’s 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The original, composed by Aadesh Shrivastava with lyrics by Sameer Anjaan, was sung by Udit Narayan. In this new version, Jaani has taken on the roles of composer and lyricist, with Mohammad Faiz providing the vocals. The film Mr & Mrs. Mahi is also bankrolled by Karan Johar.

Recently, Alia made waves with her second appearance at the Met Gala, wearing a gem-studded Sabyasachi saree with a 23-foot-long train. On the work front, Alia has Vasan Bala’s Jigra in the pipeline. She will also star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming project, Love and War, alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
