Suriya’s highly anticipated film Kanguva is touted as the next big trendsetter in Tamil cinema. After the earth-shattering success of Baahubali and RRR, the Tamil film industry has also started exploring similar venues, with Ponniyin Selvan films as examples. However, Kanguva is expected to exceed the scale and production value of all such films. The teaser of the film already gave a glimpse into what’s in store. Now, a new report has revealed that 10000 people were used for a war sequence in the film, which has become a sensation among Suriya fans.

According to a report on India Today, a colossal war sequence, featuring the actor alongside Bobby Deol and over 10,000 participants, has been shot by director Siva. The war scenes in Kanguva are said to be a highlight, showcasing stunning visual effects. With the story spanning two time periods, including a prehistoric era, the film offers a unique blend of historical drama and intense conflict.

A source close to the production told the website, “The makers, Studio Green, along with director Siva and the entire team, have worked on every aspect of the war sequences to do justice to the theme and subject. The film has the biggest war sequence, featuring Suriya Sivakumar, Bobby Deol, and more than 10,000 people.”

Siva and the film producer Gnanavelraja have roped in foreign technicians to produce standard visuals on par with international films. From the start of the project, Gnanavel has been over excited about Kanguva and has claimed it will be released in more than two dozen languages.

Kanguva marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Bobby Deol and Dishal Patani, and it is slated for release in late 2024. With cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and music by Devi Sri Prasad, the film promises to redefine the standards of Indian cinema with its raw emotions, powerful performances, and breathtaking action sequences.
