Chrissy Teigen is back in her bathing suit era.

Ten years after her last appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue, the model and cookbook author, 38, is fronting the magazine once again.

While her 2014 cover saw Teigen topless as she posed alongside Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge, this time she went solo in a low-cut orange one-piece by Saint Laurent as one of four cover stars for the company’s 60th anniversary issue.

She also posed with “legends” of the SI Swimsuit Issue, including Christie Brinkley, Tyra Banks, fellow 2024 covergirl Kate Upton, Martha Stewart and more. Yu Tsai/Sports Illustrated

In photos captured by Yu Tsai in Los Angeles, the mom of four can be seen posing in a variety of swimwear, kneeling in water wearing a swirly, crocheted bikini from Cult Gaia and rocking a beaded creation from Natalia Fedner among other designs.

At one point, Teigen sits in a chair, decked out in a denim Alaïa one-piece, and smiles in other styles from Adriana Degreas and Mugler.

In addition to Teigen, Hunter McGrady, Kate Upton and Gayle King nabbed their own individual covers and the magazine also released a group shots, highlighting SI “legends” like Martha Stewart, Christie Brinkley, Tyra Banks and more — including Agdal and Aldrige.

She made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut in 2010 and has since posed for the mag nine times. chrissyteigen/Instagram

It makes sense that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2024 would choose to pay tribute to the “Cravings by Chrissy Teigen” author, who has appeared in the magazine a total of nine times after her 2010 Rookie of the Year debut.

“Chrissy Teigen represents the new generation of model moguls,” the publication’s editor in chief, MJ Day, explained in a press release.

However, the cookbook author admits a lot has changed since her 2010 debut as Rookie of the Year. chrissyteigen/Instagram

Of course, a lot has changed since Teigen’s debut more than two decades ago; For starters, she’s now a mom to Luna, 8, Miles, 5, Esti, 1, and Wren, 11 months, whom she shares with husband John Legend.

“It feels like I’ve lived 800 different lifetimes since the first shoot we did, and I love that all the pictures and everything we’ve done throughout the years [are] like chapters in a book,” Teigen said in the accompanying interview.

“To have the legends issue and have icons together, people that I see as incredible women, not even in the industry, but just incredible women period, it’s really exciting and fun and I’m just happy to be a part of it.”

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2024 also marks a major moment for a handful of other faces; Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, is part of the elite group of those making their debut, wearing fiery, cutout swimwear and King, 69, who made her debut in a sizzling one-piece.
