Actor Sonakshi Sinha recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show with her other Heermandi co-stars Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Shaikh. While they had some fun moments, the team also got candid about working with a maverick like Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Kapil Sharma was seen teasing Manisha about how Bhansali considers her a lucky charm, and he went on to ask if he could invite the actor when he buys land. Later, Kapil also joked about how Sonakshi’s role in Heermandi is very similar to Archana Puran Singh’s role on his show.

He quipped that in Heermandi, Sonakshi’s character Fareedan aspires to snatch the Heeramandi throne and points out how Archana also loves to snatch people’s chairs (hinting at how Archana Puran Singh replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu on the show many years ago). Following this, Archana asked the guests how it is to work on a Bhansali set, especially with rehearsals. Replying to this, Aditi shared that she shot for a dance number on the very first day of the shoot. After this, they all say together, “Sanjay sir didn’t make us rehearse our dance numbers.” Richa added, “Everything we rehearse is on set, and he changes everything.”
Talking about rehearsals, Sonakshi shared, “My song that we shot, we rehearsed for it and that was added later. I had learned every step and went on set. We shot what we had rehearsed for 3 hours. But at 3 pm, he said it was not working for him, let us change it, and then he made a piece and decided on set that he would shoot the song in just one take. We did that and history was created on a Sanjay Leela Bhansali set because we completed that song in 4 minutes.”

Later in the episode, Sonakshi Sinha also shared how she is desperately wanting to get married, when Kapil Sharma stated that now even Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani have taken the plunge.
