Actor Somy Ali, who was in a relationship with actor Salman Khan in the 1990s, has previously spoken about their difficult relationship but now, after the firing incident outside Salman’s house, she has spoken in Salman’s support. Somy said that “”no one deserves what he went through” and said that she would never wish that upon anybody.

“I won’t wish upon my enemy what he has been through. All said and done, no one deserves what he went through. My prayers are with him. No matter what has happened, let bygones be bygones. I would never ever wish something like that to happen to anyone, be it Salman, Shah Rukh or my neighbour,” Somy told Hindustan Times in an interview.

She added, “I would never want Salman or his family to endure any pain, and I wish him all the best. When my mother and I learned about this incident, we were shocked. We pray that he is not harmed. He and his family always have our blessings. Everyone is image-conscious, be it you, me, Salman, Shah Rukh or anybody. So, he did whatever he felt was right on his part. But currently, my focus is on what he is going through. Nobody deserves what he is experiencing right now.”

In April, two men fired five rounds at Salman’s Bandra residence. The men left the scene afterwards. Mumbai police has already arrested five accused men in the case.

Somy Ali had previously shared that she was a big fan of Salman Khan before she made it in the movies and would walk around with his photo in her wallet. She later told Zoom that they broke up after he cheated on her. “He cheated on me and I broke up with him and left. It’s as simple as that,” she said.

While Salman has never explicitly spoken about his relationship with Somy, she has hinted that she faced abuse during their time together. In one of her Instagram posts, Somy said that nobody supported her when she faced abuse from a “huge star.” A few months ago, talking about her relationship with Salman during their dating days, Somy had shared that they were the “worst years” of her life. She had also opened up about his affairs and shared on social media, “He would not acknowledge me as his girlfriend in public for years and when he finally did he would insult me in front of his friends and berate me nonstop.” Somy later deleted these posts.
